1. Software Engineer (Frontend)
Job Description
As a Frontend Software Engineer, you will be required to write code that is well designed, efficient and testable using the newest technologies and the best software development practices available. You will be working closely with the engineering, product, and design teams to bridge the gap between graphic design and technical implementation, and combine the art of design with the science of programming. You will be a key contributor in driving Sinbad’s mission to simplify the supply chain by connecting suppliers and traditional retailers through the use of data.
Who you are and what you’ll be responsible for:
- Detail-Oriented: Write code that is well designed, maintainable, efficient and recyclable by using the best software development practices.
- Quality-Oriented: Fully engaged with SDLC. Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, monitor, and improve the software.
- Goal-Oriented: Translate UI/UX design wireframes into actual code that maintains high quality graphic standards and brand consistency.
- Collaborative: Work closely with the Product & Design Teams to design, develop and implement complex design features, and high-quality code that meets quality and time requirements.
- Problem-Solver: Use creative problem solving skills, and implement unit and functional tests to expose weaknesses and diagnose errors, to ensure software runs smoothly and meets user needs.
Job Requirements
Basic Requirements
- Experienced using JS with at least 1 of Angular / React
- 2+ of experience as a frontend in diverse environments & teams
- Strong knowledge & experience in the SDLC & Agile Scrum environment
- Experience with Unstructured / Structured databases (SQL, Mongo etc)
- Experience with Source Code Management & Versioning (git)
- Curiosity to explore creative solutions and learn new tech, whilst also being willing to implement it
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering: Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent relevant work experience
- Fluent in both English & Bahasa Indonesia, competent reading and writing abilities in both languages
Preferred Requirements
- Experienced in both JS Angular & React
- Knowledge of UI/UX
- Familiar with containerization, including Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience with unit testing for frontend

2. Software Engineer Lead
Job Description
As a Software Engineer Lead, you will be leading a team of software engineers to design, develop, and ship Sinbad’s product features and improvements of your domain. You will be collaborating with the product team to build innovative and scalable solutions. You and your team are key contributors to Sinbad’s mission to simplify the supply chain by connecting suppliers and traditional retailers through the use of technology.

- Technical Leader: Drive the execution for engineering excellence in performance, reliability, observability, and scalability of the systems under your domain.
- People Leader: Manage and grow your team members by teaching them hard and soft skills, while achieving team goals.
- Detail-Oriented: Implement scalable architecture and drive all aspects of the development including requirements definition, design, implementation, unit testing, and integration.
- Domain Expert: Be the go-to person of your domain by building, reviewing and approving detailed designs.

- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering: Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent relevant work experience
- 5+ years experience as a Software Engineer
- 2+ years experience as a Team Leader or similar position
- Experienced using modern JavaScript frameworks (Golang is a plus)
- Experienced using PostgreSQL or similar relational databases
- Familiar with ORM technology, microservice architecture, and queuing services
- Experienced with cloud infrastructure systems and CI/CD tools
- Experience with benchmarking and monitoring tools
- Strong analytics, problem solving and time management skills
- Understanding of how to build high volume, distributed back-end services with the latest technologies

You will be tasked with supporting teams of engineers to develop scalable software architecture and build innovative product solutions that meet user needs, with a focus on ease-of-use, simplicity and capability. You will be driving Sinbad’s mission to simplify the supply chain by connecting suppliers and traditional retailers through the use of technology.

- Technical Leader: Support teams of engineers in building software roadmaps of functional and technical features that are aligned with Sinbad’s long-term business strategy. - Domain Expert: Be recognized as the go-to person of your area of expertise — design, review and approve complex software design.
